An Australian LEGO® Artist specializing in “Microscale” Cityscapes of iconic Australian and International locations with the humble LEGO® brick.
Samuel has always been intrigued by all things Architecture, City planning and layouts and of course, LEGO®. When he was given his first LEGO® Architecture Set at age 12, Samuel always wanted to build his own model of his home City, Melbourne.
At 18, after 6 years of trying out different designs, planning & sourcing LEGO®, he completed the first first iteration of Melbourne Cityscape (Right) on one huge Baseplate. This was the first step in the development of Scapebysam. Melbourne Cityscape has been at various events across Victoria, winning awards and earning interest from fellow LEGO®, Melbourne & Architecture enthusiasts alike, the latter encouraging Samuel to undertake Building Design at RMIT University.
Samuel put his skills to good use in and out of the course and produced a multi-award winning Design Project “Performing Arts Hub” alongside fellow student Mitchell Gleeson. (Right: Model of UCAP “PAH” Project) After Graduating in 2022, Samuel applied his new skill-set and refined the Cityscape, continued adding projects to his portfolio of Professional work, & undertaking a range of Commissioned projects in a large variety of scales for various companies and individuals.
